Listed Building Repair - West Lothian

Repair and sympathetic extension

Set in the grounds of an important Scottish stately home, this listed Gardener’s House was built in the walled gardens by Edinburgh Architect Robert Brown in 1825.

Working with local architects Simpson and Brown a scheme was drawn up for a sympathetic extension to form a generous family house.

Comprehensive repairs and the restoration of the block pediment and curved staircase followed, together with the construction of two new extensions to the rear of the house and garden wall. One in stone and one harled and lime-washed.
